Sari was appointed Chief Executive Officer by SBCI’s Board of Directors in June 2024 and began his tenure in August 2024. Prior to joining SBCI, he spent 22 years with the Halton District School Board (HDSB), serving in a variety of roles, most recently as Superintendent of Human Resources.
As a member of the HDSB’s senior leadership team, Sari provided strategic human resources guidance and advice to the Director of Education, senior leadership, and the Board of Trustees. He also served as a member of the Labour Relations Council (LRC) for the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA) and participated in numerous provincial and school board committees, including the Council of Senior Human Resources Officials.
Sari holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Public Management from the University of Guelph, and a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration from McMaster University. He is also a Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) through the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA).
Sari lives with his family in Hamilton and loves to stay active through running and weight training.
