Carrie Fletcher, Anna Iacobelli, and Christine Herrington Named as 2025-2026 Cabinet Chairs for United Way Halton & Hamilton

HALTON & HAMILTON, May 21, 2025 – Following a successful campaign that raised $12.1 million to support vital local programs, United Way Halton & Hamilton is entering a new chapter in its efforts to strengthen the region’s network of social services. United Way is proud to announce the appointment of Carrie Fletcher as the 2025-2026 Campaign Cabinet Chair. Carrie succeeds Claude DeMone, who served as the 2024-2025 Chair and played a key role in leading last year’s campaign to success.

Carrie is a senior healthcare executive, currently serving as Executive Vice President, People Culture & Strategy at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton and Vice President, Human Resources for St. Joseph’s Health System. With over 25 years of leadership experience, Carrie has been a driving force for equity, inclusion, and transformation, making a profound impact in unionized and complex healthcare environments. Carrie has been a dedicated member of United Way’s Campaign Cabinet for several years, bringing a thoughtful, relationship-driven leadership style that reflects United Way’s core mission and values.

“I’m incredibly grateful to Claude DeMone for his outstanding leadership and the foundation he’s built through last year’s campaign,” says Fletcher. “As we look ahead, the need in our community continues to grow—more people than ever are turning to United Way-supported programs for help. I’m committed and excited to be working alongside our dedicated Campaign Cabinet members, volunteers, and community partners to ensure these vital services remain strong and accessible for everyone who needs them.”

United Way Halton & Hamilton is also thrilled to announce that Anna Iacobelli, Senior Vice President, Metro West Region at TD Bank, will serve as Chair of the 2025–2026 Major Giving Cabinet. Anna brings with her deep leadership experience, a passion for community building, and a strong commitment to helping create lasting change in Halton and Hamilton.

She follows in the footsteps of outgoing Chair Trent Ogilvie, whose outstanding leadership helped deepen engagement with the region’s most generous philanthropic leaders. Trent’s efforts played a key role in growing support for United Way’s mission and ensuring vulnerable individuals and families could access the programs and services they rely on.

“I want to thank Trent Ogilvie for his incredible dedication and impact as Chair over the past few years,” said Anna Iacobelli. “His work has created real momentum, and I’m honoured to carry it forward. As we face growing pressures in our communities, this is a critical moment. I’m excited to work alongside the Major Giving Cabinet to inspire action and ensure that everyone in Halton and Hamilton has access to the help they need.”

United Way Halton & Hamilton is also excited to have Christine Herrington as the 2025 Chair of Women United. Christine brings deep experience and a longstanding commitment to advancing women and strengthening community. As Partner and National Global Mobility Services Leader at Doane Grant Thornton LLP, she is a recognized leader in her field and a passionate advocate for creating opportunities for women to thrive.

“I believe in the power of women coming together to drive change. Women United is about purpose, impact, and community—and I’m honoured to lead this incredible group,” says Herrington.

The Women United program harnesses the power of local women and girls who invest their time, talent, and resources to help other women in our community build strong, independent lives. Christine has served as a dedicated member of the United Way Campaign Cabinet for several years, and her leadership will be instrumental in growing the impact of Women United across Halton and Hamilton.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have Carrie, Anna, and Christine stepping into these important leadership roles,” says Brad Park, President and CEO of United Way Halton & Hamilton. “Together, they’re a powerhouse team of passionate, community-driven leaders who care deeply about making a difference. It’s going to be a challenging year, but with their dedication and drive to create stability and lasting change, I know we’re in great hands to move this work forward.”
