After an extensive search, United Way Halton & Hamilton is very pleased to announce the appointment of Shawna Mutton to the role of Vice President, Community Impact. On July 26, 2021, Shawna will be joining us at United Way Halton & Hamilton. Shawna has a passion for the not-for-profit field, spending the majority of her career supporting her community in this sector.
As VP, Community Impact, Shawna will apply an innovative lens to ensure the organization is positioned to deliver on its current strategic directions and planning. Shawna will apply a cross-functional approach to develop and deliver strategies to achieve focused and measurable results via fostering long-term partnerships with community stakeholders, government and agencies.
An experienced Executive, Shawna was most recently with the Burlington Chamber of Commerce where she held the role of Vice President of Operations. Prior to her time with the Chamber, she was the Executive Director for Durham Sustain Ability, a not-for-profit and social enterprise that supports individuals, organizations and communities build a path towards a sustainable future. Even further, Shawna worked for Big Brothers Big Sisters and United Way Oakville in 2000.
